Hi all, I am very new to machine embroidery. I had a couple of free programs installed on my Windows XP computer and when I would just click on a newly downloaded JEF file it would open a preview window in the program so I could see which one it was, but I don't seem to have that feature with Embrilliance. I get this Vssr something error message and my computer screen gets all jumpy and it won't open. When I open Embrilliance then try to locate the file, sometimes it is there and sometimes I can't find it.

The free programs just automatically opened the file for me without having to open the program first. Would I need a Thumbnailer program in order to see the files or is this a bug?
Savannah7 With Essentials you do have to open your program and then use the Open option or Merge Stitch file option in order to choose a design from the files on your computer and bring them into the open Essentials working window so you can see the design there. When you use those options you can see the actual design that are in Zipped Files or that are already unzipped files that you would choose from to bring into Essentials. There is no way that I know of that you can click on a stitch file and set it to open automatically in Essentials to view it. Embrilliance Thumbnailer would allow you to view designs as pictures when in Windows Explorer( by clicking on My Computer or Computer) where you can see all the files and folders on your main computer drive (C drive). Which Viewing programs do you have on your computer that you are referring to? Perhaps you should contact the Embrilliance Support Team about the error message you are getting.
