  1. Hartmann Neuron Vs Vst 2

Hartmann Neuron VS £500. Genuine Neuron sound at a £3000 saving. Surprisingly easy to use. Bundled Nuke controller integrates well with the software. Modelmaker software allows you to add models constructed from your own samples. Still relatively expensive for a plug-in. Very demanding of the host computer. Twirl - Hartmann Neuron VS Controller Friday, March 14, 2014 by Tim Webb Glide Pro, developer of Fugue and Cascadr, has released a controller app for the neglected synthesizer VST Neuron VS.

Hi, I have a problem running my Hartmann Neuron VS with Renoise. A few times it worked, but now I always get the message 'Failed to initialize the plugin VST: NeuronVS' after trying to select the Neuron as a VST intrument. This happens with Renoise 1.8 as well as with the new 1.9 beta. If I close the 1.9b after getting this message, it reports an unhandled exception, Thread: GUI, creates a crash backup and is killed. Has anybody experience with Neuron in Renoise? Could this be a Renoise bug or rather a problem related to the Neuron?

The latter is known to be somewhat unstable. Edited by Klystron, 24 July 2007 - 03:38. @taktik: The Neuron VS software can be downloaded at However, you have to be a registered user of that forum. The software alone should run (if there weren't the problem) and one should hear sounds (this worked a few times). The 'empty models DVD' also has to be downloaded, I think. So if you want to try it and find something out.

But the external editor cannot be openend without the 'Nuke' hardware controller plugged in, which acts as a dongle. I don't have any other VST host application, I won't let anything else than Renoise on my computer. Thanks, Klystron.

Do you get an empty window when you try to open the editor? This is because you probably don't have the Nuke controller. But when it was still working on my computer, it was playing sound #0 when I forgot to plug in the Nuke. I have Win XP.

Yes, I tried to reinstall the Neuron completely (including the Nuke drivers). Didn't seem to work. Let me try to remember what exactly I tried. First, I installed the Neuron with Renoise 1.8 already installed. It worked for two weeks or so. Then it decided to stop working, it crashed when initializing, as I described. This happened right after I uninstalled some programs from my laptop, which were preinstalled and which I considered useless.

So I was a bit afraid there could be some causality, even if the programs did not have anything to do with sound. Then I reinstalled both Renoise and the Neuron, but nothing changed. Then, with an old free Renoise version (V1.27), I heared some extremely damaged sound, two times or so. Then, when trying to select the Neuron once again as VST instrument, the selector always switched back to 'none'. At last, I downloaded Renoise 1.9b, and the Neuron worked again. So maybe the uninstalling of some programs was not the problem.

However, after a few restarts of Renoise, the crash returned. Seemingly, on your computer it behaves different again. Could it be possible that some 'special circumstances' of the system environment are needed to get the plug working? Edited by Klystron, 27 July 2007 - 23:58. Essay writing newspaper apps for mac. But when it was still working on my computer, it was playing sound #0 when I forgot to plug in the Nuke. I have Win XP. Yes, I tried to reinstall the Neuron completely (including the Nuke drivers).

Didn't seem to work. Yes, the window was just empty. And no, I got no sound at all.

Also the preset list was empty. Seemingly, on your computer it behaves different again.

Could it be possible that some 'special circumstances' of the system environment are needed to get the plug working? Sure, everything is possible, but I doubt that we can do something here without the help of the VST devs. Couldn't you test this again with for example this free VST host?

If it doesn't work there, we know at least if its possible to get this thing running, somehow. Or what else could/should we do here?
